How it all started...
A dedicated and devoted Bishop, committed to fulfilling the call of God on his life, Bishop Darryl L.Wakefield, Sr., son of Rev. Franklin R. Wakefield and Inez C. Hodge, was born in Jacksonville, Florida.
Married for thirty-three-years to his wife Mercy, the couple has two sons, Darryl, Jr.; Paul; daughter Shanae; daughter-in-law Chanda; son-in-law Marlon, and five grandchildren.
Pastor Wakefield holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Florida State College and was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the same field both at Florida A&M University and then at the University of North Florida when, midway through his studies, he answered the call of God and transferred to Zoe University where he earned a Bachelor’s and then Master’s degree in Theology. Pastor Wakefield is licensed and ordained by the following organizations: The Evangelical Church Alliance, New Life International, Philippians Community Church, and Zoe University.
